Mom made brussel sprouts for my brother and I when we were kids. Schloppy and green, they resembled something that could grow off a troll’s back. The slimey, alienish glow, left me with prejudice, which I couldn’t shake from my adolescence. Now as an adult Brussels Sprouts have new meaning!
